When I was younger we had a family acquaintance that would brag on his daughter (he also had a son, but only talked about his daughter). It got to the point that we dreaded seeing him because he would go on and on. So I always said I'd never be that kind of parent.
Fast forward... I'm now a parent and I'm very proud of my son. I tell him all the time how proud of him I am and how smart, handsome, funny, etc. he is. However, I am always afraid I may come off as a braggert when I talk about him to family, friends or acquaintances.
Today's question of the day was a tough one for me (and I've tried to record this vlog at least 3 times before), because I want to do what I said I never would... brag.
I am so proud of my son because of many reasons, but one thing in particular is that he is in the first grade but reads on a 4.6 grade level. There, I said it. I really am not bragging. I am simply very proud of him. He is an avid little reader, reading any and everything he gets his hands on.
So please bear with me as I boast this one time, and please, if you have something you would like to brag about your kids, please feel free to do so. We really would love to hear it!
