If you have school age kids and don't work out of the house... do you get an opportunity to volunteer at your child's school?  I was blessed to get to volunteer a lot - a whole lot - last year when my son was in kindergarten.  Cody will have such fond memories (as will I) of his first school experience with his mommy being a big part of it.

Today, I got to volunteer for the first time this year.  I will admit that I do not have the free time to volunteer like I did last year, but wish I could.  However, first grade is different.  It is more big boy school and they are much more structured with a lot more work to do.  So having a mom around a lot would be a distraction. 

I get to volunteer once a week (some weeks maybe twice) and I am very excited about it.  So I was wondering how many of you get to volunteer and if so, maybe you could share your experiences with us.
