Do you get to be the "cool" mom?  The parent that your kids come to for fun and games?  Or are you the disciplinary? The lawmaker... making sure the rules are abided by?  I'm not always happy with the role I got allotted with... I want to be the fun parent!

And sometimes I do get to be the fun parent.  I guess it's 75/25 in our home.  My husband gets to be the "fun" dad the majority of the time, and I sometime feel like I'm the "mean" parent.  It's okay, really.  My son needs order, discipline, structure and rules intermingled in all that fun - and if I have to be the one to dole it out, well... so be it.  I get to be the cool mom often enough to make it okay.
