Hi guys, this is great for us "Southerns"...everyone knows we are the inventors of sayings.  I have 2 I like to use other than "Bless their heart" (which is my favorite), one is "Don't sweat the small stuff" and "Thats how it goes, first your money & then your clothes"...I do not know if these are "Southern" sayings but I do use these a lot.

Dawn... "don't sweat the small stuff" is a great one.  But I love "that's how it goers, first your money and then your clothes". lol  I've never heard that one before.

I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard my mother say these things as I was growing up ...

"Oh, murder" and "Hell's bells!"

And how would you like to grow up with an older brother who said this every time he was starving ...

"I'm so hungry I could eat the rear end out of a skunk!"

Needless to say, there was never a dull moment in our house!

@Melanie - I've never heard either of those sayings... but the skunk one is the funnies (and one of the grossest) things I've ever heard!

I hate to admit it, but when I used to be on my way out the door at work, I'd say, "Bye all, I'm off like a prom dress!"

So politically incorrect, I know. Some DJ in South Florida used to say that at the end of her show and it always cracked me up.
