My kids are older. The boy will be 15 in April and the girl just turned 12, so - here's my take from the another side of the time line. I never stressed where anyone slept. If they wanted to climb into my bed, I was happy to cuddle with them. Some of my fondest memories are cuddling my babies, toddlers, children. At some point my son decided he was too old for that and I let him come to that decision on his own. I understand, but I sure do miss it. My daughter on the other hand will still, on occasion climb into bed with me. I wouldn't say that we did the "family bed" thing, everyone had their own bed and their own room and they were welcome to go there and stay there. However, if they wanted to come in with me, they were more than welcome. I say if the parents don't mind, then don't stress it.

We never did any co-sleeping. Occasionally if my son and I are traveling, we share a bed, but even that will probably stop soon. If my husband's there, though, we make sure there are enough beds for everyone. Since my husband refuses to share a bed with anyone but me...
