Most of the new credit card rules are now in effect. Some of the provisions in the Credit CARD Act went into effect last summer, and others still need to be implemented. But the bulk of regulations are now in effect, and there are some positive changes. Unfortunately, as with just about anything, there are still negative consequences. Many credit card issuers are already planning how they wriggle around in order to make a little more money.

You need to read the fine print -- and everything that comes from your issuer. What your issuer decides could impact your credit score. And, if you do not agree with some of the new things your card issuer might decide to do, you might have to consider the possibility of canceling your credit card.
